Finned Tubular Heaters
Description
The finned heating element is one of the most common types of tube heaters. The uniqueness of the finned heating element is in the design, where a corrugated strip is applied to the tubular element, which allows to increase the heating temperature. The corrugated tape is soldered in a spiral, and the design of the inner part of the heating elements do not differ.
Finned air heating elements are most often straight or U-shaped. The price of air heating element depends on the length, diameter, design and material of execution, so when ordering goods, specify the technical parameters and equipment, where the tubular heater will be used.
Description
Finned heaters are widely used to heat moving air or gas mixtures in a variety of industrial applications such as electric heaters, heat guns, convectors and air heaters. They have a significantly higher heat transfer than conventional air heaters, which reduces the load on the heating surface by up to 2.5 times.
The internal construction of finned heaters is similar to that used in conventional water and air heaters: a resistive coil is placed inside a carbon or stainless steel metal tube. The coil is insulated with a compressed dielectric and is attached to contact rods at the ends of the heater. The heater ends are covered with insulating sleeves and varnished to protect against moisture.
