Description
Cartridge HEATERS are one of the popular types of industrial heaters widely used in the processing of plastic and other types of plastics. The cylindrical shape of the cartridge-type heaters makes it easy to place the heater in the opening for the heating heaters. The structure has several components and can be represented in several versions.
The advantages of Intmax cartridge heaters are economy, compliance with specified temperatures, durability, several design options in design and types of connections to choose from.
The body of the finger heater is made of stainless steel, which guarantees high thermal conductivity and resistance to oxidation and chemical corrosion. As a core, a ceramic rod is used, through which a heating element passes – rheostat wire. The heater has a high resistance.
Intmax manufactures cartridge heaters with terminals on one and two sides, which make it easier to connect the heaters to the power grid. Terminals of contact wires can be additionally protected with the help of metal braid, spring or to make a terminal at an angle of 90 °. L-shaped cartridge heaters can be designed and manufactured in the range of specified sizes. The modern technology for the production of heaters fingers allows the production of a heating device with an accuracy of 0.001 mm. With the contact heating method, a complete contact of the heaters and the equipment is required, which will ensure fast and uniform heating. The L-shape of the finger heater allows it to be used in different types of equipment.
Installation and connection of cartridge-type heaters does not require effort and preparation. Intmax manufactures cartridge heaters with non-standard structural elements: several heating zones, built-in thermocouple, uneven power distribution, unique types of terminals and connections.
Installation and operating conditions
- Determination of the maximum temperature of the heated surface;
- Determining the heating power for a given temperature;
- Calculate the diameter and length of the chamber for a given hole;
- Determine the required number of heaters to evenly distribute the temperature supply across the equipment. To calculate the power of each heater separately, you need to divide the total power by the number of chambers;
- Determine the power density of the selected heater size using the following formula: 3.14 * diameter * length = area. Power / Area = power density;
- Calculation of the heater fit into the hole according to the principle of calculating the minimum size of the outer diameter of the cartridge heater from the maximum diameter of the installation site;
