Used for heating cabinets of automation, control, terminals, ATMs, in various electrical equipment. In operating mode enclosure heaters will provide long-term heating and protection against condensation inside the cabinet.

Enclosure heaters with a fan is installed on cabinets and panels where air convection is difficult, for quick heating and directional heating. The automation cabinet heater has an additionally installed fan in its design, which increases the efficiency of the device.

Is it possible to do without heaters if the winter is relatively warm?

No. The main danger of frost is the freezing of certain parts of the cabinet with the flow of cold and frost inside. There are no warm winters in Ukraine, when the temperature regularly exceeds +5˚С. Starting from this figure, it is recommended to connect heaters.In addition, when the level of humidity is high (for example, an area near the sea or a large river), it also harms the “stuffing” of the cabinet, because it is impossible to completely close the doors hermetically. The daily temperature difference leads to the formation of steam inside the cabinet. Excess moisture leads to oxidation of contacts, corrosion of the metal, and the appearance of a short circuit. So a heater is a must.

Where should the enclosure heaters be installed to prevent overheating, underheating and achieve uniformity?

What is the “dew point” and why is it taken into account in the subject of automatic cabinets?

The “dew point” is the temperature at which the released steam turns into water droplets. Excessive moisture harms the contents of the cabinet, leads to damage to the elements, breakage and fire. To exclude excess moisture, use enclosure heaters (with or without fans). Additionally, they create an insulating layer inside the cabinet so that moisture is concentrated in it, and not on wires, switches, sensors, transformers.
